The ACE 400 has a waterproof 8.5×11 DD PROformance search coil and weighs only 2.9 pounds. Model improvements are a higher 10kHz frequency that helps find low conductivity targets such as gold, and a 0-99 digital target ID that indicates what you’ve found before digging. Whether you’re a metal-detecting expert or novice, we keep it simple. And, by the way, my 7 year old son Juanito found a nickel yesterday when he took his detector out for the first time!
For example, when used in the aggregate industry, the HH-10 will scan shallow burdens on non-metallic surfaces, detect tramp metal and allow for quick recovery. The HH-10 should be used after a detection has occurred and the product flow has stopped. This removes the risk of “nuisance trips” for small metal that will not damage machinery, thereby reducing costly downtime. When metal is detected, the conveyor and material flow is stopped to allow manual removal of the metal. It will prevent the majority of small metal pieces of all types from entering granulators, damaging blades and contaminating the granules produces.
Without getting into too much detail, DD coils will get you better detection depth and deal with ground mineralization better than a concentric. While large coils get better depth, they also see more of the ground which means your detector has to process more signals in mineralized soil which can lead to very bad falsing, poor target ID and missed targets. Pulse induction (PI) is a technology used in specialty machines for areas of high mineralization – i.e., salt water beaches and gold country. Very low frequency (VLF) is the technology built into most detectors – pretty much any machine under $1,000.
Export trade is a growing side of our business and we are pleased to report that we now sell metal detectors to dealers in over 10 European countries. We pride ourselves on being totally devoted to metal detectors and as such we manufacture nothing else. To address questions about what impact such devices may have on day-to-day safety and on what happens during school violence events, this research brief summarizes what is known about metal detectors in schools and in other settings.
Many metal detectors are easy to use but still give you professional features. You’ll want it with you when you’re scanning the beach for treasure.

If you have elbow or shoulder problems or another ailment that limits physical activity, it’s recommended to get a lighter detector. Some metal detectors are light as a feather while others are built like bricks and can be quite heavy.
It can be useful in different areas: treasure hunting, archaeology, security and many other. Of the metal detectors we tested, the Bounty Hunter Titanium Camo was the best at estimating depth. This means the field is about half to two-thirds the coil’s diameter, making it more accurate deeper into the ground than a concentric coil. We scored metal detectors with DD search coils higher because their search fields are shaped like a blade.
